Q&A

Q: Do I need to reserve all spots for our group or can we book separately?

A: You can book separately, but make sure to call Sail San Diego to let them know you're all part of the same group. They’ll keep you on the same boat, which is crucial for that group vibe! Just remember, the trip needs a minimum of 3 guests to sail.

Q: What's the best time of year to do this sailing excursion?

A: Honestly, San Diego is great year-round, but I'd say late spring to early fall is best for good weather. The summer gets busy, so keep that in mind if you want a more laid-back experience. Just check the forecast before you go!

Q: How strict is the age limit for drinking on the boat? Can we bring kids?

A: The minimum drinking age is 21, so if you’re bringing anyone younger, they can still join, but they won't be able to have alcohol. There are non-alcoholic drinks and snacks provided, so kids can still enjoy the trip! Just remember, it’s more of an adult vibe overall.

Thinking about gifting the sailing excursion in San Diego!

Hey everyone! I'm considering this Small-Group San Diego Afternoon Sailing Excursion for my partner’s birthday. It seems super relaxing and fun! I love that it’s limited to 6 people, so it’ll feel intimate. Plus, who doesn’t love sailing with a cold beer in hand? Has anyone done this before? What should I expect?

Experience sailing in San Diego – need advice!

I just bought tickets for the afternoon sailing experience, and wow, I'm excited! But I’m kinda nervous about the weather since it can be unpredictable sometimes. Anyone have tips on what to wear or what I should bring just in case? Also, how's the parking near the dock?
