Q&A
A: Yes, you can reschedule if the weather conditions are not ideal. Sail San Diego typically reaches out to guests if there's a concern about weather a day or two in advance. Just give them a call to find another date that works for you. It's always a good idea to keep an eye on the forecast too!
A: Dress in layers! It can get a bit chilly once the sun goes down. Bring a light jacket or sweater, and don't forget sunscreen if you're sensitive. Comfy shoes are a must since you'll be on a boat. And definitely wear something you don't mind getting a little wet!
A: This particular sailing trip is primarily designed for adults, especially since it includes alcohol. However, if you have older teens (16 and up), they might be allowed, but I'd recommend checking with Sail San Diego first to confirm their age policy. It could be a great family activity if they allow it!

Just got back from the sunset sailing, WOW!
I did the small-group sunset sailing excursion in San Diego last week, and it was an unforgettable experience! The views of the sun setting behind Point Loma were incredible, and the vibe on the Catalina sailboat was just perfect. We even had some delicious hard seltzers and snacks while sailing! It was so nice to only have six people on board. Totally recommend it if you want a relaxing evening out on the water.
Looking for advice: sunset sailing for a group outing?
I’m considering booking the small-group sunset sailing experience for a friend’s birthday. Has anyone done this recently? I love that it’s limited to six guests, but I’m wondering how the snacks are and if it's easy to coordinate with everyone. Also, any must-know tips for the trip?
