Q&A

Q: Are there any age or weight restrictions for the kayak tour?

A: There's no strict age limit, but kids should be at least 6 years old to join. As for weight, the kayaks can accommodate participants up to about 300 lbs comfortably. Just make sure everyone is dressed for the water and can paddle safely! It’s a great family experience if you’ve got older kids.

Q: What should I wear for the kayak tour? Is it okay to bring my phone?

A: Wear something comfortable that you don’t mind getting wet! Quick-dry clothes and water shoes are ideal. As for your phone, it’s best to keep it in a waterproof bag if you want to take it along, but the guides usually take pictures during the tour you can access later!

Q: What if the weather is bad? Can we reschedule our tour?

A: If the weather looks bad, definitely contact Venture Outdoors to check on rescheduling options. They prioritize safety, so if it's stormy or unsafe, they'll help you find another date at no extra cost. Just keep an eye on the forecast!

Just did the Wekiva River kayak tour, and it was epic!

I went on the Small Group Scenic Wekiva River Kayak Tour last weekend, and I can’t recommend it enough! The guides were super friendly and knowledgeable. We saw a few alligators and even a couple of manatees! It was a small group, so it felt really personalized. Just a heads up, the trail snacks were awesome too! If you're in Orlando, you should totally gift this experience to someone.

Thinking about gifting the Wekiva River kayak experience for my brother's birthday!

I’m considering this kayak tour for my brother who loves the outdoors. It’s near Orlando, and I’ve heard great things about the guides and how close you get to nature. I’m a bit concerned about him being a beginner though. Is it suitable for newbies? Any advice?
