Q&A
A: If the sunset kayak tour is canceled because of weather, they usually try to reschedule you for another day when conditions are better. It’s worth noting that since the sunsets are more prone to cancellations, it might be smart to have a flexible schedule for a reschedule. Just keep an eye on the weather forecast leading up to your tour date!
A: Kids can definitely join, but they should be at least 8 years old for safety reasons. If you have younger kids, I suggest calling the provider to see if they can accommodate them. It’s such a great family experience, especially with the stunning scenery at sunset!
A: Dress in layers! It can get chilly on the lake as the sun sets. Quick-dry clothes, a light jacket, and definitely some water shoes are a must. The company provides splash jackets if necessary, but bringing your own stuff that you’re comfortable in is a good idea. I also recommend a hat and sunscreen!

Thinking about booking the sunset kayaking tour on Yellowstone Lake!
Hey guys, I’m really considering getting this as a gift for my partner’s birthday! We’ve done some kayaking before but never at sunset. I love the idea of a small group and having a certified guide. Just wondering if anyone has done it and what your experience was like? Are the snacks provided decent? Thinking about the weather too, I heard it can be unpredictable.
Anyone had to reschedule their sunset kayak tour?
I booked this tour for next week, but the weather looks iffy. Just curious if anyone’s had to reschedule and how easy it was! I really want this to be a great experience, especially since it’s my partner’s first time kayaking!
