Q&A

Q: Is there a minimum age requirement for kids to join this tour?

A: There's no strict minimum age, but I’d recommend it for kids age 6 and up. The tour includes a lot of walking and listening, so younger kids might get restless. My 8-year-old loved it, especially seeing the dinosaur fossils and the Ruby Slippers!

Q: How's the parking situation around the museums?

A: Parking in DC can be a pain, but there are garages nearby. The Smithsonian museums are also accessible by metro, which I recommend since parking can get pricey. If you do drive, try to arrive early to find a spot or just plan to use public transport.

Q: What should I wear for this walking tour?

A: Wear comfy shoes! You'll be walking quite a bit between museums, and I’d also suggest dressing in layers since the museum can be chilly. It’s casual, but stay comfy!

Thinking about gifting the Smithsonian 'Big 3' Tour!

Hey everyone! I’m considering this tour for my sister’s birthday. She loves history and space stuff. I’ve heard great things about the guided aspect, plus it includes the Air and Space Museum, which I know she’d geek out over. Just wondering if anyone has done this tour—was it worth it? Any tips?

Just got back from the Smithsonian 'Big 3' Tour!

Wow, what an experience! I took my kids, and they were so excited to see the Hope Diamond and the dinosaur fossils. The guide was engaging and kept my kids interested for the whole 3 hours. Definitely wear comfy shoes since there’s a lot of walking. Highly recommend this tour!
