Q&A
A: The best times are typically spring and fall. In spring, trout are super active after winter, and in the fall, they get ready for winter. Summer can be warm and fishing slows down a bit. Just keep an eye on the weather and water levels!
A: Dress in layers! It can get cooler in the morning, and you don’t want to be too hot while fishing. Quick-dry clothes are great. Also, definitely wear sturdy shoes if you’re hiking to the spots. They provide waders, but it helps to have a good base layer.
A: There's no strict age limit, but it's recommended for kids 10 and older, especially since they need a fishing license. It’s important they can handle the gear and follow instructions. Best to check with the guides if you’re unsure!

Thinking of gifting the Smoky Mountains fly fishing experience!
I’m considering this half-day fly fishing trip for my husband’s birthday. He’s always talked about wanting to fish in the Smokies, and it sounds perfect! I love that they provide all the gear. Has anyone done this? Any tips?
Had an amazing time fly fishing in Gatlinburg!
Just got back from the half-day fishing trip, and wow, it was incredible! The guide took us to some awesome spots, and I caught a nice rainbow trout. They really know their stuff. I recommend bringing a light jacket just in case; it got chilly by the water.
