Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for kids on the Snake River float trip?

A: Children as young as 4 can join the trip, but they do need to be able to wear a personal flotation device comfortably. Just check with Teton Scenic Floats beforehand to ensure there's enough space and equipment for everyone. It’s such a great way to introduce kids to the outdoors!

Q: What do we wear for the float trip? Is it cold in the morning?

A: Layering is key! Mornings can be chilly, so I'd recommend a light jacket over a t-shirt. Bring a hat and sunglasses for later, and if you can, wear quick-dry clothes. The ponchos they provide are great if it rains, but I still prefer to dress in layers.

Q: If the weather's bad, can we reschedule the float trip?

A: Yes, Teton Scenic Floats is really flexible with rescheduling due to weather. If it's unsafe to go out, they'll work with you to find a new date. Just make sure you call them as soon as you can to rearrange!

Thinking about gifting the Snake River float trip for my parents!

Hey everyone! I’m considering this float trip in Jackson Hole for my parents’ anniversary. They love nature and have never done anything like this. I’ve read that it’s a nice, leisurely float with great views of the Tetons! Do you think they’d enjoy it? Any tips or experiences to share?

Just did the float trip and it was amazing!

Wow, I just got back from the Snake River float trip, and I’m still buzzing! The views of the Tetons were gorgeous, and we saw a ton of wildlife, including eagles! The guide was fun and informative, which made it even better. Anyone else been? I highly recommend it for families!
