Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this snorkeling experience with the manta rays?

A: Yes, there’s no specific age limit, but kids must be able to swim and meet the physical requirements, like climbing the boat ladder independently. It's best for kids 10 and older, as they usually have the confidence and ability to handle snorkeling gear. Just double-check with the operator if you have younger kids in mind!

Q: What should I wear for this snorkeling experience?

A: Wear a swimsuit and bring a light cover-up or rash guard for sun protection. The tour provides wetsuits, which are great for warmth and buoyancy. Also, don’t forget reef-safe sunscreen to protect your skin and the ocean!

Q: What happens if the weather's bad on the day of the tour?

A: If the weather isn't safe for snorkeling, the crew will usually contact you to reschedule. They prioritize safety, so they won't take you out if conditions are rough. It's good practice to check in with them before your tour date for any potential issues.

Thinking about gifting the Manta Ray Snorkeling Experience!

I’m considering this snorkeling experience in Kailua Kona for my partner’s birthday. They've always wanted to swim with manta rays, and this looks perfect! I see that prior swimming experience is required, which is fine since we both love the ocean. The family-run aspect really appeals to me too. Has anyone done this before? Any tips on how to prepare or what to expect?

Just got back from snorkeling with manta rays!

Wow, what an experience! We went out of Kailua Kona, and the crew was super knowledgeable and friendly. They really took care of us. The manta rays were breathtaking! If you’re thinking about booking this, do it. Just a heads up, be ready for the ladder climb back onto the boat, it can be a challenge in the dark after snorkeling!
