At Snorkel with Turtles Hawaii, we are one of the ONLY tour operators that gets you away from the crowded Waikiki snorkelers and in the water with NO MORE THAN 1 OTHER SNORKEL BOAT any given day for miles. Our shop is a quick 15-minute ride out to Hawaii Kai Marina, on the South East Corner of Oahu, and operates in the scenic Muanalua Bay. As nearly every other snorkel charter brings you to the same location outside of Waikiki, we go to sites where only another 1 or two operators frequent. The majority (95% of Oahu’s snorkel charters) go to the same place with 10-20 other boats and as many as 100 or more other snorkelers surrounding you, boats and snorkelers are the only thing you are guaranteed to see. We want you to experience the wildlife and natural beauty of our oceans, so we stay away from the crowds!

Q: Are there any age limits for this snorkeling experience?

A: Yes, there is a minimum age of 6 for this experience, which is great for families! Kids under 18 need to be accompanied by an adult. Just keep in mind that some kids might find snorkeling a bit challenging, so it’s good to check if they’re comfortable in the water. Make sure they’re confident swimmers too!

Q: What happens if the weather doesn’t cooperate?

A: If the weather doesn’t allow for safe snorkeling, they usually reschedule for you. They’re pretty flexible about that. Just keep an eye on your email because they'll inform you of any cancellations or changes. Also, it's a good idea to check the weather before you head out.

Q: What should I wear for snorkeling? Any tips?

A: Comfortable swimwear is key! You might want to wear a rash guard for sun protection since you'll be in the water for a while. Also, don’t forget reef-safe sunscreen to protect the turtles and the environment. Water shoes can be a lifesaver too if you're walking on rocky areas!

I’m looking to surprise my partner with a snorkeling experience for their birthday. Snorkel with Turtles sounds perfect since we want to avoid crowds. I read it’s in Muanalua Bay, which isn't as busy as Waikiki. What was it like? Did you see a lot of turtles? And how was the staff?

Just got back from Snorkel with Turtles, and wow!

OMG, this experience was incredible! We snorkeled in Muanalua Bay, and it felt like we had the ocean to ourselves. The turtles were just swimming around us. The staff were so chill and made everyone feel comfortable. Totally worth it! If anyone's on the edge about booking this, just do it!
