Q&A
A: The summer months are definitely the best for this excursion! You’ll want to go between June and September when the weather is warm and the trails are open. The views from the tram and the lunch spot are absolutely stunning during these months. Just keep an eye on the weather report since afternoon storms can pop up occasionally.
A: There are no strict age limits, but the hike can be a bit challenging for younger kids. It’s generally recommended for ages 8 and up. The hike down the Cirque Trail has some steep sections, so make sure the kids are up for it. Just keep in mind that younger children might need a bit more help, especially at the higher altitude.
A: Definitely wear layers! The weather can change quickly at higher elevations. I recommend moisture-wicking clothes, sturdy hiking shoes, and a light jacket or fleece. Don't forget a hat and sunglasses for sun protection. The guides also suggest bringing trekking poles if you have them, especially for the steeper parts of the trail.

Thinking of gifting the Snowbird Summer Excursion!
I’m looking at the Snowbird Summer Excursion for my partner’s birthday next month. The tram ride sounds amazing and lunch at the highest restaurant in Utah? Wow! Just curious about what others have thought of the hike part. Is it really challenging? We're both pretty active but don’t want to overdo it.
Just got back from the Snowbird Excursion—what a day!
I recently did the Snowbird Summer Excursion, and I highly recommend it! The tram ride was out of this world, and lunch at the top was so good! The views are breathtaking. The hike was a little strenuous but totally doable. The guide was super helpful and shared great info about the area. If you’re thinking about it as a gift, go for it!
