Q&A
A: There aren't specific age limits for this tour, but it's designed for those who can handle moderate hiking—so I’d say kids around 8 and up would be alright. Just keep in mind that the guided hike is about 2 miles round trip, which involves some uneven terrain. It’s a good idea to check with your kids as well if they're used to hiking! Overall, it's a family-friendly experience.
A: Definitely wear comfortable hiking shoes or boots since the hike to Sol Duc Falls can be a bit slippery. Layers are great too—mornings can be chilly on Hurricane Ridge but it warms up later in the day. Don’t forget a waterproof jacket just in case it rains; that’s pretty common in Olympic National Park. And sunscreen is a must for those sunny spots!
A: Weather can be unpredictable in Olympic National Park, especially in the fall and spring. However, the tour company usually makes decisions by early morning based on the latest forecasts. If conditions are unsafe, they’ll likely reschedule or offer options for a later date. Just be sure to check their cancellation policy when you book!

Just got back from the Olympic tour—amazing experience!
I did the Sol Duc, Lake Crescent, and Hurricane Ridge tour last week, and wow! The hike to Sol Duc Falls was breathtaking, the water was so clear, and the lush forest was unreal! Lake Crescent Lodge was super charming, perfect for a quick snack before heading up to Hurricane Ridge. The views from the top were just out of this world. Totally worth it! Highly recommend if you’re into nature and want a day of adventure!
Considering this tour as a gift—any suggestions?
I’m thinking about getting this guided tour for my partner’s birthday! We both love hiking and the outdoors, but I’m worried about the physical demands. How difficult is the hike? Also, any tips for packing lunch? Thanks in advance!
