Elegance and expedience. A truly memorable afternoon in the heart of the Wine Country. You will be picked from your hotel in downtown San Francisco, Nob Hill, The Wharf, and after the tour, we will bring you back to the same location. We always make a short stop on the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge to take pictures and to compare temperatures there and in Sonoma. On the way to the wineries, you will hear about the history of San Francisco and California, as well as about the wine industry in Sonoma and Napa. On your way, you will see St. Quintin, the Mission San Rafael, and Marin County Civic Center building by Frank Lloyd Wright. We will visit 2 wineries in Sonoma. Both tastings are included. After the tastings, or in between the first and second tastings, we will visit Sonoma Plaza, the largest public square in California, ex northernmost point of Mexico, home of the last 21st Californian Mission and about 40 different restaurants.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for the Sonoma Wine Tour? Can kids come along?

A: There’s no strict age limit for the tour, but since there are wine tastings involved, children might not be allowed at the wineries. It’s best to check with the provider, A Taste of SF Tours, for their specific policy. If you’re bringing kids, you might want to consider a more family-friendly activity or just enjoy the views and history!

Q: What should I wear for the wine tour? Any recommendations?

A: Comfort is key! I’d recommend wearing layers since the weather can change once you cross the Golden Gate Bridge. A light jacket is a good idea, and comfy shoes are a must since you'll be walking around the wineries and Sonoma Plaza. You’ll want to look cute but also be ready for some exploration!

Q: Can you reschedule if something comes up? How flexible is the booking process?

A: Yes, you can reschedule! A Taste of SF Tours allows rescheduling up to 48 hours before your tour. This gives you some peace of mind if plans change last minute. Just make sure to reach out to them directly to confirm the new date.

Just got back from the Sonoma Wine Tour - What a blast!

I went on the Sonoma Wine Tour recently and it was amazing! The pickup was super easy from my hotel in Fisherman’s Wharf, and we stopped by the Golden Gate Bridge for pics. The wineries we visited had great tastings, plus the view was stunning. Sonoma Plaza is such a cute spot with so many restaurants. I’d totally recommend this for anyone looking to gift an awesome experience!

Thinking of gifting the Sonoma Wine Tour - Any advice?

I’m considering this wine tour for my sister’s birthday. She loves wine but hasn’t been to Sonoma yet. Is it worth it? What about the transportation? I don’t want her to worry about getting around during the day.
