This excursion is designed for people who are certified divers.  We will meet at one of the lovely dive sites located in the Wailea/Makena area of South Maui.  We will have a safety briefing, and afterwards go out on an underwater adventure.  Highlights of dives here include turtles, rays, sharks, eels, crustaceans, and lots of tropical fish and reefs. Pictures of your excursion are included.  A second dive at a second dive site may be added as well for a fee.

Q: Is there an age limit for diving on this excursion?

A: Yes, divers need to be at least 12 years old to participate in the South Maui Shore Dive. However, if they are under 18, they’ll need a parent or guardian to sign a waiver. It’s also important they have a certification, so make sure whoever you’re gifting this to is certified before booking!

Q: What should we wear for the South Maui Shore Dive? Is there any chance of weather cancellations?

A: Wear a swimsuit under a wetsuit; they usually provide the wetsuits but check with them. As for weather, they do check conditions before diving, so if it's unsafe, they’ll let you know and reschedule. Maui's weather is usually great, but it's good to keep an eye on forecasts around your dive date.

Q: Is there parking available at the dive site in Wailea?

A: Yes, there’s parking at the dive site, but it can get busy, especially on weekends. Arriving early is a good idea to secure a spot. Just follow the signs for the designated diving area in Wailea. If you can, carpool with your dive buddies!

Just came back from the South Maui Shore Dive—amazing experience!

Wow, I just did the South Maui Shore Dive and it was incredible! We saw 3 turtles and even a reef shark! The photos turned out awesome too. The guides made sure we were safe and had a blast. Highly recommend it as a gift for any diver!
