This tour only has 1 stop: Space Center Houston (SCH). SCH is connected to NASA or the Johnson Space Center (JSC), where the astronauts train and the engineers work. We will walk over 5,000 steps at SCH as I plan on showing as much as possible in the main building and in the additional buildings, Rocket Park and the Astronauts Training Facility, where the trams take tourists. I will talk a lot about the space program, tying the past to the present, and future explorations.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on the Space Center Houston tour?

A: There's no strict age limit! Kids of all ages usually enjoy it, especially if they're into space. Just keep in mind that younger kids might get tired from all the walking (5,000 steps can be a lot!). It’s a great educational experience for them, so I'd say it's suitable for age 5 and up.

Q: What should I wear for the Space Center tour? Is it inside or outside mostly?

A: The tour has both indoor and outdoor sections. It’s best to wear comfortable shoes since you'll be walking a lot, and dress for the Texas weather! In summer, it gets pretty hot, so lightweight clothing is ideal. Also, don’t forget sunscreen if you're planning to spend time outside, especially in Rocket Park!

Q: Can you reschedule a tour if something comes up?

A: Yes, you can reschedule! Just make sure to contact them at least 24 hours in advance. They’re pretty accommodating, and it’s easy to move your date. It’s good to plan ahead, especially if you’re going with a group or for a special occasion.

Thinking about gifting the Space Center Houston tour!

Hey everyone! I'm looking to gift a Space Center Houston tour to my boyfriend for his birthday. He’s a huge space nerd and loves all things NASA. I saw it's a walking tour, which sounds awesome, but how's the tour experience? Did you enjoy it? Any tips on what to see or do while we’re there? Thanks!

Space Center Houston tour experience – anyone been?

I’m considering booking the Space Center Houston tour for my family. We’re visiting in a couple of weeks. I’ve heard it involves lots of walking. Is it worth the time? What was your favorite part? Looking for some advice before I book!
