Q&A
A: The best time to see the Northern Lights in Fairbanks is usually from late August to April. However, September to March tends to have the most consistent visibility. Just remember to check solar activity forecasts before your trip!
A: There are no strict age restrictions, but younger children may find the cold and late-night hours challenging. It's definitely suitable for kids who are used to colder climates and can handle being outside for extended periods.
A: Transportation is included with your tour, so you won't need to worry about parking! They’ll pick you up in Fairbanks and drop you back off, which makes it super easy. Just focus on enjoying the hot springs and the lights!

Anyone else blown away by the Northern Lights at Chena Hot Springs?
I just got back from the Chena Hot Springs tour and WOW. The guide was super friendly and told us so many cool Alaskan stories. We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights, and they set up a photography session for us! The hot springs were relaxing after a long day. Definitely worth the price! I can’t recommend this enough as a gift or even for yourself.
Thinking of gifting the Northern Lights experience – any tips?
I’m considering buying this Chena Hot Springs experience for my partner’s birthday. I know it includes a lot, but is there anything I should know before booking? Also, what should we wear? I want to make sure we’re comfortable and enjoy it!
