Get ready to walk on water! Join us and experience the desert from a thrilling new perspective while on the deck of a Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP). Our guided SUP tour is a perfect introduction to stand up paddling. A SUP is similar to a surf board and allows for a standing/paddling form of on-water recreation and touring. On this tour, we learn the basics of launching and landing, techniques for balancing, kneeling and standing, and how to turn and navigate on gentle water. We’ll also have a great opportunity to learn about the amazing ecosystem of a desert lake, and see some of flora and fauna which make this such a unique habitat. This tour is appropriate for anyone with good physical fitness, a willingness to learn a new skill, and a modest sense of adventure.

Q: What's the age limit for this paddleboarding experience? Can kids join?

A: Great question! Kids aged 10 and up can usually join, but it’s best to check with Cliff Creek Outfitters for any specific requirements. They want to make sure everyone is safe and can handle the boards. If your kids are active and keen to try new things, they'll likely have a blast!

Q: What should we wear? Is it okay to get wet?

A: You’ll want to wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting wet! A swimsuit or quick-dry shorts work great. Also, don't forget sunscreen and sunglasses. It can get pretty sunny in Phoenix, so protecting your skin while you paddle is super important!

Q: How do reschedules work if the weather's bad?

A: If the weather doesn’t cooperate, Cliff Creek Outfitters will reach out to you as soon as possible to reschedule. They’re super flexible with that! Just keep an eye on your email right before your date. I've had to reschedule once, and they made it super easy!
