Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this tour? Thinking of getting it for my 8-year-old niece!

A: There’s no specific age limit for the tour, but I'd recommend it for kids 7 and up since there’s a lot of walking and some historical content that may be better suited for older children. The interactive museum on Liberty Island is awesome for kids! Just keep an eye on them at the memorial pools.

Q: What happens if it rains? Can we reschedule?

A: If it rains, you can usually reschedule without any fees as long as you notify them at least 24 hours in advance. Just check the weather forecast before your day trip. The ferry rides can be chilly when it’s wet, so dress accordingly!

Q: How long does the whole experience take? I’m planning a day trip.

A: Plan for around 4-6 hours total if you want to explore everything leisurely. The ferry rides are about 15-20 minutes each way, and you’ll want to spend some time at both Liberty and Ellis Islands. Plus, visiting the 9/11 Memorial Pools can take another hour if you take your time.

Did the Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island tour and it was amazing!

Just wanted to share my experience of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island tour. We started at Battery Park, and the ferry ride was beautiful! The interactive museum on Liberty Island is really engaging. My favorite part was the 9/11 Memorial pools afterward. Such a moving experience. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a meaningful day out in NYC!

Considering this tour as a birthday gift, thoughts?

I’m thinking of getting this experience for my partner's birthday. He loves history and NYC! Just worried about the logistics of getting there and if it’s worth the price. Anyone here done it? Thoughts?
