You stop at six different locations in South Lake Union for tastings and stories behind the distinctive local businesses. Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this street food tour? Can kids join?

A: Great question! Kids are definitely welcome on the tour, but keep in mind that it’s mostly about tasting and walking. There’s plenty of food that they might enjoy though, like the sourdough bagels and the Hawaiian-Korean fusion. Just make sure to keep an eye on them when we're in busier areas!

Q: What should I wear for the street food tour? Is it casual?

A: Casual is the way to go! Comfortable walking shoes are a must since you’ll be on your feet for a while. Dress for the weather too, since it can change quickly in Seattle. Layers are your best friend here!

Q: How do I get there? Is parking easy?

A: Getting to South Lake Union is pretty easy! There’s street parking, but it can be a bit competitive, especially around meal times. I'd recommend taking public transport or rideshare if you can. The area is very walkable, so once you’re there, it’s easy to get around!

Just did the South Lake Union Street Food Tour - So worth it!

I went on the Street Food Tour in South Lake Union last weekend and it was AMAZING! We stopped at six different spots, and each had such a unique vibe. The hand-rolled sourdough bagels at Rubinstein were to die for, and the Korean-Hawaiian fusion at Marination was a total game-changer. Plus, the guide shared some cool stories about the area’s tech history. Highly recommend it for foodies or anyone looking to explore Seattle! Planning to gift this experience to a friend for their birthday.

Considering gifting the SLU food tour — any tips?

I’m thinking of getting the Street Food Tour of South Lake Union as a gift for my sister's birthday. She loves trying new foods, but I’m a little worried about if the tour is too much walking for her. Does anyone have thoughts on the difficulty level or how long it usually lasts?
