Join us for an unforgettable experience in our 3-row Subaru Ascent! Drive through the Rocky Mountain National Park on a half day 5 - 6 hour private tour with only your party & your guide! Our Summer Rocky Mountain Tour starts you in the lower valley meadows, then takes you on a journey up iconic roads that are open for your visit (Trail Ridge Road June - Sep., or off-road on Old Fall River Road July - Sep.) where you will see beautiful mountain views & waterfalls, we’ll make a short stop at the highest visitor center in the US National Park system, and drive back down the highest continuous paved road in the United States, Trail Ridge Road, on our way back to Estes Park. This tour is NOT a hiking tour, and focuses more on driving in the National Park with small strolls throughout. We are only able to offer pickup for guests staying in Estes Park. If you are staying outside of Estes Park, we can meet you at the free parking garage for the Estes Park Visitor Center for pickup.

Q&A

Q: What should we wear for the Rocky Mountain driving tour? Is it cold at higher elevations?

A: I'd recommend dressing in layers! It can be chilly at higher elevations, even in summer. Bring a light jacket or hoodie for the drive up and maybe a hat or sunglasses since you’ll be exposed to the sun. Also, comfortable shoes are a must for those short strolls you'll take at the viewpoints.

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this tour?

A: No official age limit! Kids are welcome, and I've seen families bring babies in car seats all the way to teens. Just make sure they're comfortable in a car for 5-6 hours since that's the tour duration. It's a great way for families to enjoy the park without all the hiking!

Q: What if the weather is bad? Can we reschedule?

A: If the weather isn’t safe for the tour, they’ll definitely reschedule you to a later date. Just make sure to give them a call as soon as you know. The views are so much better when the skies are clear, so it's worth waiting for a good day!

Thinking of gifting the Rocky Mountain driving tour - has anyone done it?

I'm considering this driving tour of Rocky Mountain National Park as a gift for my parents. They love scenic views but aren't into hiking much. I read it lasts about 5-6 hours which sounds perfect! Also, how's the scenery on Trail Ridge Road in mid-August? Any must-see spots?

Just did the Rocky Mountain private tour and it was epic!

We just finished the driving tour and wow, what an experience! Our guide was super knowledgeable, and the views from Trail Ridge Road were breathtaking. The highest visitor center was such a cool stop. It felt great to just relax and enjoy the scenery from the car, especially with my family. Highly recommend this for anyone who wants some stunning views without the hiking!
