Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for the Summer Surf Camp? My son is 5 and he loves the water!

A: Yes! The camp accepts kids from ages 5 to 16, so your son would be a perfect fit! They have a great curriculum tailored to all skill levels, and the instructor ratio is super low, which is awesome for safety. Just make sure to pack some sunscreen and a hat for him!

Q: What do kids need to wear to surf? Is there a specific dress code?

A: The camp provides rash guards and wetsuits, so your kids don’t have to worry about bringing those. I’d recommend some comfy swim trunks or a swimsuit underneath. Also, don't forget water shoes if your child prefers them! It can get a bit sandy out there.

Q: Can we reschedule if the weather is bad? My niece loves surfing but I don’t want her to miss out!

A: Absolutely! If the conditions aren’t safe for surfing, they’ll work with you to reschedule. It's all about safety first! Just make sure to keep an eye on the weather as it gets closer to the camp date.

Thinking about gifting the Summer Surf Camp for my niece!

Hey everyone! I’m considering the Summer Surf Camp in Venice Beach as a birthday gift for my 10-year-old niece. She’s never surfed before but loves the ocean. Anyone here had experiences with the camp? How did the instructors interact with the kids? Also, what were the facilities like? Any tips would be appreciated!

Feedback on the Summer Surf Camp?

I’m looking to gift a surf camp experience to my cousin who’s 12. I’ve heard lots of good things about the Summer Surf Camp in Venice Beach, but just wanted to see if anyone has personal experience? Is it really suitable for beginners? How’s the vibe?
