Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit, but it's best suited for teens and adults since some locations can involve a bit of walking and potentially steep areas. If you’re bringing younger kids, they might need to be supervised closely. Just keep in mind their ability to handle early mornings and the terrain!
A: Definitely dress in layers! It can be chilly at sunrise, but warms up as the sun rises. Good hiking shoes are a must since you may be walking on rocky terrain. I’d also recommend a hat and sunscreen, especially if you're not used to the sun in Utah.
A: Yes, the guide is pretty flexible with rescheduling if the weather doesn’t cooperate. Just reach out as early as possible to find a new time. They want to make sure you get the best conditions for photos!

Just did the sunrise photography tour at Dead Horse Point - Amazing!
I can’t recommend this experience enough! We went to three stunning locations, with Dead Horse Point being the standout for me. The guide gave great tips on camera settings and composition – even helped me get the perfect shot of the sunrise over the canyon. The early wake-up was totally worth it! I’m planning to gift this to a friend who loves photography!
Considering the sunrise photography tour as a gift - thoughts?
I’m looking at booking the sunrise photography tour in Moab for my husband’s birthday. He loves photography but hasn’t done much landscape stuff. Do you think it’s beginner-friendly? Also, any tips on how to make it a special day?
