Q&A

Q: What should we wear for the dog sledding tour in Fairbanks? Is there a chance of cancellation due to weather?

A: Definitely dress in layers! It can get super chilly up there, even if you're moving. I went in February and wore thermal socks, insulated pants, a heavy coat, and gloves. The company does provide extra winter gear, but it’s always good to have your own just in case. As for weather, they’ll let you know if it’s not safe to go, but it’s pretty rare! Just keep an eye on the forecast.

Q: Is this experience suitable for kids? What's the age limit?

A: Yes! This experience is great for kids, but they should be at least 5 years old to participate. Kids tend to love the huskies and can sit on the sled with you, which is super fun. Just make sure to keep an eye on them since it can be a bit bumpy. We brought our 8-year-old, and he had a blast!

Q: How much driving time do you actually get? I want to make sure it's not just a short ride.

A: You'll get a solid 4-5 miles of driving, plus extra time for photos and hanging out with the dogs. The extended tour is awesome for those who want more hands-on time with the sleds! Our guide was really chill and let us drive for a good while, which was super cool. Just be ready for some epic photo opps; you won't want to miss capturing those moments!

Just did the sunset & full moon dog sledding tour in Fairbanks!

OMG, this was one of the best experiences ever! We did the extended tour and got so much time with the huskies. I was driving the sled for a solid 30 minutes! The views during sunset were breathtaking. Plus, we got to spend time with the dogs afterward, which was adorable. If you're thinking of gifting this, do it! Just make sure to dress warm and bring a good camera!

Thinking of gifting the dog sledding tour, but need some advice!

I’m planning to gift this dog sledding experience to my boyfriend for his birthday. He loves dogs and the outdoors. How’s the overall experience? Are there any must-know tips?
