Q&A
A: Yes, riders need to be at least 8 years old for this experience. Younger kids can participate in some cases if they’re comfortable and have a parent riding along. It’s definitely a gentle ride, so it’s great for families with kids who meet the age requirement!
A: Comfortable, casual clothing is best! I suggest wearing long pants and closed-toe shoes, like sneakers or boots. It can get a bit chilly once the sun goes down, so bring a light jacket just in case. Trust me, you’ll want to enjoy that sunset without freezing!
A: If the weather doesn’t cooperate, they’ll usually contact you ahead of time to reschedule. Safety is their priority, so they’ll only ride if conditions are safe for everyone. Keep an eye on your email for updates the day before your ride!

Just got back from the Sunset Mountain Vista Horseback ride and WOW!
I did the Sunset Mountain Vista ride last week and it was honestly one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had! The views of Oahu's coastline as the sun set were breathtaking. The horses are super chill, perfect for beginners. Plus, our guides were friendly and made the whole ride feel special. Can’t recommend this enough for anyone visiting Oahu. I took tons of pics with my phone too - they even encouraged us to capture the moment!
Thinking of gifting the sunset ride! Need some advice.
I’m planning to surprise my sister with the Sunset Mountain Vista ride for her birthday. She loves horses and sunsets, so it seems perfect! Just wondering if it’s suitable for someone who’s never ridden before? Also, any tips for making the day extra special?
