Q&A
A: There aren't strict age limits, but it's recommended for kids ages 5 and up. The boat can get a bit rocky, so younger ones might need extra supervision. Definitely check with Discovery Whale Watch if you're bringing little ones, just to make sure it's a good fit!
A: Definitely wear layers! It can get pretty chilly out on the water, especially as the sun sets. Bring a light jacket or a sweatshirt. And don’t forget comfy shoes since the deck can get slippery!
A: Yes, they usually allow you to reschedule if the weather doesn’t cooperate. It's best to contact them directly if you have any concerns. They’ll help you find another date that works for you!

Just got back from the Sunset Whale Watch Tour in Monterey - WOW!
I went on the Sunset Whale Watch Tour last week and it was incredible! The naturalist on board shared so many cool facts about the whales, and we saw humpbacks breaching! The smaller boat made it feel really personal, and catching the sunset while watching the dolphins was just magical. I’m thinking of gifting this experience to my parents for their anniversary. Anyone else done this? Would it be a good gift?
Thinking of booking the Sunset Whale Watch Tour - Need advice!
I'm considering the Sunset Whale Watch Tour for a date night, and I wanted to know if it's really worth it. I heard the views are stunning. Are the snacks and drinks decent? What about the wildlife sightings? Any tips would be great!
