Q&A
A: Yes, kids are welcome on the Sunset Wilderness Wildlife and Glacier Experience! It's a great family-friendly option, although I’d recommend it for kids who are at least 6 years old since the terrain can be a bit rugged. Just keep an eye on them near the glacial lakes and waterfalls. Make sure they’re dressed warmly and ready for an adventure!
A: If the weather conditions are unsafe, PicTours will reschedule your experience! They monitor the weather closely, and if it looks like a no-go for safety reasons, they’ll work with you to find another day that fits. Just be flexible with your dates, and you’ll be fine!
A: The experience is moderate, so a decent fitness level helps, but you don’t need to be an athlete. There are some gentle hikes, and the guides will pace the group based on everyone's ability. Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and take breaks when needed. Enjoy the sights rather than rushing!

Considering the Sunset Wilderness Experience for my partner's birthday!
I’m thinking of getting this guided wilderness tour in Anchorage for my boyfriend’s birthday. We both love nature and adventure, and the idea of exploring glacial lakes and waterfalls sounds amazing! I saw that they have flexible itineraries too, which is a plus. Has anyone done this? How was the experience?
Just did the Sunset Wilderness tour and WOW!
I can’t recommend the Sunset Wilderness Wildlife and Glacier Experience enough! We went last weekend, and the scenery was just breathtaking. Our guide was super knowledgeable and made the whole trip fun. We got up close to waterfalls, and the glacier views were unreal. Bring your camera because the photo ops are endless!
