Q&A
A: Yes, kids can definitely join! The instructors are great with children, and they recommend ages 8 and up for the lessons. Just make sure to let them know if you're bringing younger surfers so they can adjust accordingly. The beach is super safe, but kids should be comfortable in the water.
A: If the weather's bad, they typically reschedule the lesson for you. Instructors keep a close eye on conditions to ensure safety and fun. They'll reach out as soon as they notice anything off, usually the day before. It's super easy to find a new time that works!
A: Not at all! The instructors are super encouraging, and they adjust the lesson to fit your fitness level. You don’t need to be a pro athlete; just be ready to have fun! Most beginners get up on their boards by the end of the lesson, so don’t worry too much about fitness—just focus on catching some waves!

Can't decide if I should book a surf lesson for my girlfriend's birthday!
So I found this Surf HNL lesson near Ko'olina and it seems amazing! The 2-hour lesson looks perfect, and I love that it’s at Barbers Point since I've heard it's not crowded. I just want to see her have a blast in the water. Anyone done this before? Any tips on what to wear or how to make it special?
Just experienced the surf lesson at Surf HNL and it was epic!
I just took the surf lesson at Barbers Point with Surf HNL, and wow, what a great time! The instructor was super chill and helped me catch my first wave! The gear was all included, which was awesome. The waves were perfect for beginners, and having a small group made all the difference. Totally recommend it to anyone considering!
