We created this experience to be a very authentic day/morning in the life of a surfer. Not just a surf lesson. Guests and truly treated as family...Like going for a surf with your uncle Micah! All participants receive a comprehensive and thorough lesson and are immersed in an authentic experience that for some; create a new passion and way of life. We meet downtown, select the wetsuit that fits best, and the board you want to surf from a large selection of long boards, mid-length and foamies. (short boards are available for advanced surfers.) I hope you can join us for a truly authentic unforgettable day of surf and good vibes. NOTE - As the group gets larger we break into smaller groups of 3 or 4ish per instructor. (everyday is different depending on the vibe of the group.)

Q: Is there an age limit for the surf lessons? Can kids join?

A: Yes, kids can join! The surf lessons are open to anyone 10 and up, but younger kids can participate if they’re comfortable in the water and can handle the board. Just make sure to check with the instructors beforehand, as they’re super accommodating. It’s a great family activity!

Q: What should we wear for the surf lessons? Any recommendations?

A: You’ll want to wear something comfortable! A swimsuit is perfect since they provide wetsuits. If it’s chilly, maybe throw on a light long-sleeve top before you get in the water. Don't forget sunscreen and a hat for after!

Q: What if the weather is bad? Do they reschedule or cancel?

A: They definitely keep an eye on the weather! If it gets too rough, they'll reschedule. Just make sure to confirm your spot and check in with them in case of bad weather. They’re pretty flexible and want everyone to have a good time!

Just did surf lessons in Santa Barbara! So worth it!

I surprised my boyfriend with surf lessons with the Dude and it was amazing! We met downtown, got fitted for wetsuits, and hit the beach. The instructors were so chill, and they really made it feel like family. I thought I’d be terrible at surfing, but they start you off easy, and by the end of the day, I was catching some small waves! If you're nervous, just go for it! It’s a blast. Totally recommend it!

Thinking of gifting surf lessons to my sister's family!

Looking for some feedback on this surf lesson experience in Santa Barbara. My sister's kids are aged 10 and 12. Is it really as fun as it sounds? Also, how’s parking at the meeting spot? I don’t want to deal with a hassle on the day! Thanks, everyone!
