Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this food tour? Can kids join?

A: There's no strict age limit for the Sweet and Savory Scandalous White House Walking Food Tour! Kids are totally welcome, and the tour can be a fun way for families to explore DC together. Just keep in mind that it involves some walking and tasting, so make sure they’re up for it. Also, check with the provider if you need a special menu for younger kiddos.

Q: What do we wear for the tour? Is it casual?

A: Definitely keep it casual! Comfortable shoes are a must since you'll be walking a lot. I'd recommend breathable layers too, just in case it gets warm. Most people showed up in jeans and sneakers, which worked perfectly. Oh, and don’t forget your sunscreen if it’s sunny, especially while waiting outside the White House!

Q: What happens if the weather's bad? Do they cancel the tour?

A: If the weather's really bad, like heavy rain or storms, they usually do cancel for safety reasons. But they try to give you a heads up and you can reschedule for a different date! It's a good idea to check the forecast ahead of time and maybe have a backup plan, just in case. Enjoy the tour, it’s a blast!

Just did the Sweet and Savory Scandalous Tour - Wow!

I just got back from the Sweet and Savory Scandalous White House Walking Food Tour, and it was awesome! Rae, our guide, was super knowledgeable about DC's history and all the unsavory tales were a blast. The pastries we tried were from local bakeries, and I can't stop thinking about that gelato! Perfect for anyone who loves food and a good story. Definitely a unique gift idea!

Considering gifting the food tour - thoughts?

I'm thinking of getting the Sweet and Savory Scandalous tour as a gift for my sister's birthday. She's a foodie and loves exploring new places. But is it worth it? Anyone been on it? What should I know before booking?
