Q&A
A: Definitely wear a swimsuit under your clothes! The wetsuits they provide fit snugly but are super easy to put on. I'd recommend bringing a towel and maybe a change of clothes for after. Don't forget reef-safe sunscreen to protect those lovely manatees!
A: The tour usually lasts around 3-4 hours, including the time spent swimming and the briefing about manatees. If it rains, they typically still go out unless the weather is severe. Just keep an eye on their cancellation policy; they usually communicate via email if conditions change.
A: Yes, it's definitely suitable for kids! They usually recommend ages 5 and up for the swim, and it's a great family-friendly activity. Just make sure your kids are comfortable in the water and can follow instructions. They’ll love it!

So excited to swim with manatees in Crystal River!
I just booked a swim with manatees experience for my family, and I can’t wait! We’ll be going in early September, and I’m hoping the weather is nice. I love that the tour focuses on conservation and education. Has anyone done this before? Any tips? I'd love to hear about your experiences!
Just completed the manatee swim tour!
OMG, I just got back from the swim with manatees tour, and it was incredible! The guides were knowledgeable, and we saw so many manatees up close. They even took pictures for us! I highly recommend this to anyone. Just be prepared to swim, as it can get a little chilly in the water. It was worth every penny!
