Q&A

Q: Is there a limit on how many people can join the walking tour?

A: Yes, the walking tour typically accommodates small groups to keep it intimate and engaging. It’s best to contact the provider to confirm the maximum number of participants, but I’ve seen groups up to 15 be perfect for this type of experience. Just make sure to book in advance if you're planning for a larger group!

Q: What should we wear for the walking tour? Any tips?

A: Comfortable shoes are a must since you'll be walking quite a bit. Dress for the weather too—layers in cooler months are a good idea, and sunscreen in the summer. The tour takes place outdoors, so check the forecast before you go. If it's raining, make sure to bring an umbrella!

Q: Can we reschedule if something comes up?

A: Yes, you can usually reschedule if you give the provider a heads up. It’s best to do it as soon as possible. I recommend checking their cancellation policy on their site or reaching out directly to confirm how much notice they need for changes.

Thinking about booking the Syracuse Walking Tour for my parents!

Hey all! I’m considering getting a private walking tour of downtown Syracuse for my parents' anniversary. They really love history and I think they’d enjoy exploring Clinton Square and hearing about the Erie Canal. Has anyone done this tour? What did you think? Are there good spots to eat nearby afterward?

Just did the Syracuse Walking Tour and it was awesome!

So I just got back from the private walking tour in Syracuse, and I can't recommend it enough! The guide was super knowledgeable and we got to see the Gridley building up close. The stories about Syracuse’s industrial history were fascinating. I took my family, and we all had a blast! Definitely a great way to see the city differently.
