Q&A
A: There are no specific age restrictions mentioned for the Sand Harbor helicopter tour. However, kids must be able to wear the provided noise-reducing headsets comfortably, and they should be accompanied by an adult. I took my 10-year-old, and he had a blast! Just make sure they’re tall enough for the seatbelt.
A: If you need to cancel due to weight issues, they do charge the full price, so it’s super important to be accurate with passenger weights during booking. If someone in your group is close to the limit, definitely check before booking. Rescheduling is usually possible but might depend on availability, so I'd contact them ASAP.
A: It's best to wear layers! It can get chilly up in the helicopter. I recommend a light jacket or hoodie, especially if you’re going in the morning or later in the day. Also, comfy shoes are a must since you’ll be walking around a bit at Sand Harbor. Sunglasses are a good idea too - the view is stunning!

Just booked the Sand Harbor Helicopter Tour for my boyfriend's birthday!
Super excited about this! We're going next month and I can’t stop thinking about the views. I've heard the east shoreline is gorgeous, and I can’t wait to see Marlette Lake from the air. Just hoping the weather is nice because I’ve read it can change fast in Tahoe. Has anyone done this tour recently? Any last-minute tips?
Helicopter tour over Sand Harbor - Worth the price?
Thinking about this as a gift for my parents’ anniversary. They’ve never been in a helicopter before! Is it really as good as it sounds? What’s included besides the flight? I'm curious if they’ll be comfortable, especially my dad, who’s a bit heavy.
