Q&A
A: There isn't a strict age limit, but kids need to be able to sit in their own seat, so generally, they should be at least 2 years old. It’s a great experience for the whole family! Just make sure the little ones are ready for a bit of a ride. Oh, and they should be okay with heights since it’s a seaplane.
A: Definitely dress in layers! It can get chilly up in the air and around the glacier, especially if it’s windy. A light jacket, gloves, and comfortable shoes are recommended. You might want to bring a hat too! The lodge itself is cozy, so you can shed layers once you’re there.
A: Yes! Wings Airways is pretty flexible with rescheduling due to weather conditions. If they cancel because of safety issues, you can easily set up a new date without any extra fees. Just make sure to keep in touch with them as your travel date approaches.

Just did the Taku Lodge Feast & Glacier Seaplane tour, and WOW!
I went on this tour last month and it was absolutely breathtaking! The flight over the glaciers was surreal, especially passing the Taku. Plus, the food at the lodge was so fresh and delicious—definitely try the salmon! The staff was super friendly too. I can’t recommend this enough if you're in Juneau. Perfect gift for anyone who loves nature!
Thinking of gifting this seaplane tour, any thoughts?
I’m considering the Taku Lodge experience for my parents’ anniversary. They love Alaska but have never done a seaplane. Is it scary? Any tips for making it special? Also, how's the parking situation at the Juneau airport?
