Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on the Tales & Tides cruise?

A: Great question! There isn't a strict age limit, but the cruise is really best for kids aged 5 and up. Younger kids might get bored since it's mostly storytelling and wildlife watching. The guides are great with kids, though, so they'll definitely keep them engaged! Just be sure to dress them warmly.

Q: What should I wear for the cruise? Any recommendations?

A: Definitely dress in layers! The weather can change quickly in Ketchikan, so a light waterproof jacket and some warm clothes underneath are perfect. Also, don’t forget your sunglasses and a hat if it’s sunny! You'll be on the water, so it can get chilly, even in summer.

Q: What happens if the weather is bad? Can we reschedule?

A: If the weather conditions aren't safe for the cruise, they’ll usually give you the option to reschedule for another day. It’s a good idea to check their cancellation policy when booking, just in case! The staff is super friendly and will work with you to find a new time.

Just got back from the Tales & Tides cruise - wow!

I just did the Tales & Tides cruise last week and I can't say enough good things! The views were stunning and the storytelling was so immersive. We saw seals, and a bald eagle flew right over us! If you're considering it, go for it! Totally worth the price.
