Q&A

Q: Are there any age limits for this cooking class?

A: Yes, the class is generally suitable for ages 12 and up. Younger kids can join if accompanied by an adult. It’s a great way for families to bond over cooking! Just keep in mind that some of the tasks may require adult supervision.

Q: What should we wear to the cooking class? Is it messy?

A: Definitely wear something casual that you don’t mind getting a little messy! Aprons are usually provided, but I’d recommend wearing older clothes just in case. Cooking can get a bit hands-on, especially when making tamales!

Q: What if we need to reschedule our class?

A: If you need to reschedule, just reach out to Su Casa's staff through their website. They’re usually pretty flexible, but try to give them at least 48 hours’ notice if possible. They want everyone to have a great experience!

Just did the Tamales and Tacos class, and it was AMAZING!

I went to the Tamales and Tacos with Margarita Cooking Class at Su Casa in Chicago last weekend and honestly, I can't recommend it enough! The chefs were super knowledgeable and funny, which made the whole experience fun. We made authentic tamales and tacos from scratch and got to sample everything along the way. The margaritas were a huge plus too! Great for a date night or even a fun outing with friends.

Thinking about gifting the cooking class, any advice?

I'm considering getting the Tamales and Tacos class as a gift for my partner. He loves cooking but hasn’t really done Mexican cuisine before. Do you think this class is beginner-friendly? Also, is the atmosphere relaxed? I want him to feel comfortable.
