While absolutely nothing happened on the 4th of July, yet we celebrate it every year. We'll even tell the real story behind Santa Claus. So buckle up! Q&A

Q: Are there any age limits for this tour? Would it be suitable for kids?

A: There's no strict age limit for the tour, but I’d say it’s best for older kids (10+) who can appreciate the history lessons. The content is pretty engaging, but younger kids might not find it as interesting. I took my 12-year-old, and he loved learning about the real story behind Santa Claus!

Q: What happens if it rains? Do they cancel the tour?

A: They do run in light rain, but if the weather is really bad, they’ll reschedule. You can usually get a refund if you can’t make the new date. Just keep an eye on the forecast! It's Charleston, so rain can be a surprise sometimes.

Q: Is the tour physically demanding? What should I wear?

A: It's a pretty easy walk, but you’ll definitely be on your feet for a while since it's around Waterfront Park and Rainbow Row. Comfortable shoes are a must! I'd suggest wearing layers, too, since Charleston can get warm but can cool down in the evening.

Excited to gift this history tour! Any tips?

I’m thinking about getting the 'That Sh!t Ain't True!' tour for my history-loving friend’s birthday. I read it starts at Waterfront Park and goes past Rainbow Row, which sounds gorgeous! What should I know before I book? Any must-see spots along the way?

Just did the history tour and it was awesome!

I went on the 'That Sh!t Ain't True!' tour last weekend. Seriously, so much fun! The guide was super knowledgeable and made the myths so entertaining. Learned about the four Emancipation Proclamations, which blew my mind. If you’re in Charleston, definitely check it out!
