This full day safari will show off the highlights of this incredible place; volcanic thermal features, giant waterfalls, diverse wildlife, the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, and Yellowstone Lake. Throughout the day we will drive scenic roads, walk historic boardwalks, enjoy the peace of natural landscapes and use our optics to view wildlife. Your guide is your driver, and their goal is to cover as many of Yellowstone’s famous features as they can in a day. The guides at Yellowstone Safari Co. will make every effort to showcase as many highlights as possible, and will structure the day around making your experience a memorable one. They will take current road conditions, weather, seasonality, and your personal interests into consideration as they move through the park. A: There’s no strict age limit, but younger kids might get restless during the full day. The guides are great with families and can adjust the itinerary to keep things engaging for kids. Just make sure they’re old enough to enjoy some walking and the picnic lunch! I'd suggest 7 and up for the best experience.

Q: What should we wear for this tour? Is it all outdoors?

A: You’ll want to dress in layers since the weather can change fast in Yellowstone. Sturdy walking shoes are a must since you’ll be on boardwalks and some trails. Also, don’t forget a hat and sunglasses for the sunny spots! Rain gear isn't a bad idea either, just in case.

I’m considering getting the Best of Yellowstone tour as a gift for my parents. They love nature but have never been to Yellowstone! I’m wondering if the full day can be too much for them? Also, what's the lunch like? Any advice would be appreciated!

Anyone done this tour recently? What was the highlight?

Just got back from the Yellowstone safari tour and wow, it was epic! Seeing Old Faithful go off was definitely the highlight, but the wildlife spotting was insane! We saw bison, elk, and even a bear from a distance. Can’t recommend the guides enough; they were super knowledgeable. Thinking about doing it again next summer!
