Is this a walking brew tour with a side of ghosts or a ghost tour with a side of brews?? While guests will have to decide that for themselves, we can tell you this is not an average "sit there and shut up " tour, but rather an opportunity to engage back and forth with a local Charlestonian. As a combined bar and ghost tour guests will visit two different bars where complimentary appetizer will be served at the first location and the guide will provide drink recommendations. As part of the tour guests will also walk by and receive history based ghost stories near graveyards, alleyways, and a haunted dungeon. The second bar is an historic building with a fantastic local beer selection. Guests will ward off the spirits with some "spirits." The tour will wind down at a hauntingly beautiful local park where one of the first female serial killers was hung. Don't stick around too long after the tour or you may end up a ghost yourself! (Please note we do not enter the graveyards.)

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for the Charleston Boo Hag and Brews Tour?

A: Yes, participants must be 21 or older since this tour includes alcohol tasting at two bars. They check IDs at the first location, so just make sure everyone has theirs with them. It's a fun mix of history and brews, but definitely not for kids!

Q: What should we wear for the Boo Hag and Brews Tour? Is it a casual or dressy event?

A: Casual is definitely the way to go! Just wear comfortable shoes since you'll be walking a fair amount. Also, keep an eye on the weather—Charleston can be pretty hot or rainy, so plan accordingly! A light jacket might be good for the evening.

Q: Can we reschedule if something comes up? How flexible is it?

A: Yes, you can reschedule! Just be sure to give the tour company a call at least 48 hours in advance. They’re pretty accommodating. I had to change our plans last minute and they helped us out without any issues.

Just did the Charleston Boo Hag and Brews Tour—what a blast!

I recently went on this tour and can’t recommend it enough! We hit up two awesome bars and the history mixed with the spooky stories was just perfect. The first bar had delicious appetizers and the second one had an amazing local beer selection. Walking through those haunted alleys at night was super eerie but so much fun! Would definitely do it again with friends!

Thinking of gifting the Boo Hag Tour—is it worth it?

I’m considering this tour as a gift for my sister’s birthday. She loves ghost stories and craft beer, so it seems perfect. But is it really worth the price? What did you guys think of the experience? I want to make sure it’s a hit!
