My name is Chris, and I'll be your guide to Downtown. I've led tours for KTLA, Spectrum News1, and NHK Japan. There's a chance you've come across my other 5 star experiences, like the Sunset Strip True Crime tour. When you book with me, you're guaranteed to get the tour creator as your guide - not a person reading from a script. This isn't your average walking tour. Over 3 hours, you will dive deep into the history, architecture, and landmarks of Downtown Los Angeles! Our tour starts with a ride on historic Angels Flight. Your ticket for this 1901 train from La La Land and Bosch is included as a part of the experience! You'll see famous LA buildings, like the Walt Disney Concert Hall, Bradbury Building, and City Hall. We will discuss their film history, architects, and styles. From Art Deco to postmodern, there's amazing variety along our walk. We will also visit Little Tokyo for sample from LA's oldest candy store and explore the history of this fascinating part of Los Angeles.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this tour? Can kids join?

A: There's no strict age limit, so kids are totally welcome! Just make sure they can handle a 3-hour walking tour. Chris is great with families and keeps it engaging, so they should have a blast. Plus, the stop in Little Tokyo for candy is always a hit with the kiddos!

Q: What should I wear for this tour? Is it mostly walking?

A: Definitely wear comfortable shoes since it’s a walking tour. Layers are a good idea, too, as it can get warm during the day but cooler in the evening. Chris takes you through various spots, and you don’t wanna be caught with sore feet halfway through. Trust me!

Q: What if it rains? Do we get a refund or reschedule?

A: If it rains, Chris will typically try to reschedule, so you won’t lose your money. However, I’d recommend checking the weather in advance. If it looks like rain, reach out to him to see your options. He’s pretty flexible!

Just got back from the Downtown LA history tour and wow!

I just did the History and Architecture of Downtown LA tour with Chris, and it was incredible! Riding Angels Flight was such a neat experience, plus the stories he shared about the buildings were a whole new perspective. Getting to sample candy in Little Tokyo was a fun treat, too! Perfect gift for anyone who loves LA or just wants to learn something new.

Thinking about gifting the LA architecture tour, any thoughts?

Looking for a unique gift for my architecture-loving friend. The History and Architecture tour seems perfect, especially since it includes Angels Flight and Little Tokyo snacks! Just wondering if it's engaging enough for someone who might already know a lot about LA.
