Q&A
A: There's no specific age limit for the tour, but it's best for kids over 5 since they'll get the most out of the experience. The staff is super friendly and great with kids, so families are definitely welcome! Just make sure to supervise younger ones since it’s a butterfly flight house and they can get excited!
A: Late spring to summer is ideal, as you'll see the most butterflies active in the flight house! The farm is wonderful year-round, but the weather is usually warmer then too, which makes it a great experience. Just be mindful of potential rain, especially in winter!
A: You’ll want to set aside at least 1.5 to 2 hours. The tour is hands-on and there's a lot to learn, plus you’ll want time for photos in the butterfly flight house. If you’re really into butterflies, you might even want to linger longer to enjoy the experience!

Just booked the Maui Butterfly Farm Tour for my wife's birthday!
I'm so excited! I read that it’s the only butterfly farm in Hawaii, and they have live Hawaiian butterflies. It’s supposed to be super educational and hands-on. I’m thinking of getting the private tour since it’s a special occasion. Has anyone done this? What should I expect? Any tips?
Thinking about gifting the Maui Butterfly Farm Tour!
My sister's birthday is coming up, and I’m looking for unique experiences to gift her. I came across this butterfly farm tour and thought it might be perfect! Has anyone gone there? Are the butterflies really as beautiful as they say? Also, what do you wear, since I know it’s in a flight house?
