Q&A
A: There are no strict age restrictions, but they do recommend this experience for kids ages 5 and up, mainly because of the length of the tour and the terrain. Younger kids might not enjoy the 6 hours in the Jeep. Also, keep in mind that the open-top design means it can get a bit bumpy!
A: I'd recommend dressing in layers! Mornings can be chilly, but it warms up as the day goes on. Also, wear comfortable shoes since there will be some stops for hikes and photos. Definitely bring sunglasses and a hat since you'll be exposed to the sun during the ride!
A: Tours run rain or shine, but if there's severe weather, they might reschedule for safety. It's a good idea to check their cancellation policy and maybe call ahead if the forecast looks bad. Rain can actually add to the experience with fewer people around and animals being more active!

Just booked the Jeep Bison Safari for my family! Any tips?
I’m super excited! We’re going on the Jeep Bison Safari next month in Custer. I heard it's about 6 hours but includes snacks and a picnic lunch? Any recommendations on what to bring or what to expect? I've got two kids with me and want to make sure they don’t get bored!
Just did the Bison Safari, and wow!
I went on the Jeep Bison Safari this past weekend and it was incredible! The views from Mt. Coolidge were breathtaking. We saw so many bison and the guide was super knowledgeable. Totally worth the 6-hour trip. Just a heads-up, bring a hat and sunscreen; the sun can be intense out there.
