Q&A

Q: Is the Orcas Project wine tasting suitable for beginners? My sister's not a huge wine drinker.

A: Absolutely! The Orcas Project is perfect for all levels. Cole, Rachel, and the team are super welcoming and can tailor the tasting to your sister’s preferences. They'll explain everything in a way that’s easy to understand. Plus, the wine flight includes a variety of options, so she can explore without feeling overwhelmed.

Q: What's the parking situation like at Doe Bay? I've heard it's tricky.

A: Parking can be a bit limited, especially during peak tourist season. There's a small lot, but you might have to park on the road if it's full. Just make sure to arrive a bit early to secure a spot. Plus, the area surrounding is pretty picturesque, so you'll have a nice walk to the venue!

Q: How long does the tasting last? I want to plan other activities for the day.

A: The tasting usually lasts about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the group size and the conversation flow. It’s a chill atmosphere, so you can take your time. You’ll still have plenty of time afterward for lunch or exploring other spots on the island!

Just did the Orcas Project wine tasting - wow!

I went to the Orcas Project wine tasting last weekend, and it was such a fantastic experience! The hosts, especially Rachel, were super knowledgeable about the Northwest wines. We tried a great selection, and I learned so much about the different varietals. The setting was beautiful too, right in Doe Bay, and the vibe was really relaxed. Definitely recommend this as a gift or a fun outing!

Thinking of gifting the Orcas Project wine tasting—any thoughts?

I’m considering giving the Orcas Project wine tasting to my parents for their anniversary. They love wine but have never done a tasting before. Is this a good pick? Also, do you think the hosts will be nice if they don’t know much about wine?
