Q&A

Q: How cold is it usually during the tour in winter? Do we need special clothing?

A: It can get pretty chilly in Estes Park during winter, often around 20s to 30s°F. I'd recommend dressing in layers—definitely a warm jacket, gloves, and a hat! They'll provide some sledding gear, but it's best to wear something comfortable and weather-resistant. Just make sure your shoes are good for hiking, too!

Q: Is this tour kid-friendly? What ages would you recommend it for?

A: Absolutely! The tour is kid-friendly, and kids around 6+ typically enjoy it the most. There are plenty of stops for snow play and shorter hikes, making it perfect for families. Just check with the provider if you have younger kids to ensure the sledding and hiking will be manageable for them.

Q: What if the weather is bad? Can we reschedule?

A: Yes, if the weather looks too severe, they can help you reschedule. The tours are pretty adaptable, but keep an eye on forecasts and reach out to them. They’re really good about communication and will work with you to find another time.
