In this Portland food tour, we will explore the charming streets of the Kerns neighborhood where we will sample some of the tastiest bites that Portland has to offer. This once sleepy neighborhood has blossomed into a Portland bazaar for diverse and delicious treats. Our five stops will create a varied and scrumptious meal and whet your appetite for what the Kerns has to offer. Examples include ethnic contributions such as Jaliscan and Bretagne food, a visit to an eclectic outdoor food hall, charcuterie, and dessert from an artisanal ice cream shop.. You will not leave hungry! While the Kerns extends more broadly, its core is centered on Restaurant Row, on NE 28th between Burnside and Glisan St. We will walk a total of 1.3 miles through tree lined streets and hipster hangouts while we visit six foodie hot spots in the Kerns neighborhood. Along the way we will also talk about the history of the Kerns and take in some classical Portland residential architecture. All ages welcome.

Q&A

Q: Are there any age restrictions for this food tour?

A: Nope, this tour is great for all ages! Kids can definitely join in on the fun, and there's even some foodie options that they might love too. Just make sure to let your guide know if you have any specific dietary restrictions for the little ones.

Q: What should I wear for the Kerns food tour? Is it a lot of walking?

Just did the Kerns Food Tour and WOW!

I recently went on the Kerns food tour with Portland by Mouth and it was amazing! We hit up six spots, including this cute ice cream shop that had the best flavors. The guide was super knowledgeable about the area and the food scene. We walked about 1.3 miles which was a breeze, and I didn’t leave hungry at all! Highly recommend this as a gift or just for a fun outing with friends.
