Q&A

Q: What should we wear for the Thousand Islands tour? Is it more casual or do we need to dress up?

A: You can definitely keep it casual for the Thousand Islands tour! I’d recommend comfortable shoes since you’ll be walking around Cornell’s campus and hiking at Taughannock Falls. Layers are a good idea too, especially if you're going on the boat tour—sometimes it gets chilly out on the water!

Q: I'm planning to buy this for my parents. Are there age limits for the wine tasting at the vineyard?

A: The wine tasting is open to anyone 21 and older, as you’d expect. But they usually offer some non-alcoholic options for folks who prefer that. Just let the guides know in advance!

Q: How's the parking situation at the meeting point in Brooklyn? Is it easy to find?

A: Parking can be tricky, especially in Brooklyn! I suggest arriving a bit early to find a spot. There are a few paid lots around, but street parking is pretty hit-or-miss. If public transport is an option for you, that might save some hassle.

Considering the Thousand Islands Tour as a gift for my sister!

I found this Thousand Islands and Cornell University tour and I’m super excited about it! It covers so much: the campus walks, the wine tasting, and the beautiful cruise? Perfect combo for my sister who loves nature and history. Just wondering if anyone's taken it recently? Any tips?

Just got back from the Thousand Islands tour—what an experience!

Wow, if you’re thinking about this tour, DO IT! The boat cruise was breathtaking and I loved the wine tasting at Americana Vineyard. The guide was super knowledgeable, and we had a lot of fun at Taughannock Falls too. I'm already considering going back!
