Q&A
A: Definitely layer up! March can be pretty chilly in Fairbanks, so I'd suggest thermal wear, a good waterproof jacket, and some insulated boots. Don't forget gloves and a warm hat since you'll be outside quite a bit. The instructors will focus on capturing the light at dawn and dusk, so you'll want to stay warm while you wait for those perfect shots.
A: There aren't strict age limits, but the workshop is best for teens and adults since it involves hiking and some photo techniques that require basic understanding. Younger kids can tag along if they're really interested, but just keep in mind the physical demands. It might be a bit challenging for them.
A: Yes, rescheduling is definitely an option if the weather is inhospitable. The provider, Capture Wild Alaska, typically monitors the forecast and will reach out if conditions aren't suitable for shooting. It's best to keep an eye on the weather forecast leading up to your date so you can stay flexible!

Just got back from the Denali Photo Workshop - WOW!
I went to the Denali photo workshop last month, and it was totally amazing! The landscapes were breathtaking, especially at sunrise. Our instructor was super knowledgeable and really helped me with my camera settings. We got transportation included, and the food was way better than I expected. If you're considering this as a gift for someone, I say go for it! It’s such a unique experience.
Thinking about gifting the Denali Photo Workshop!
I need some advice. My brother loves photography and has been dying to visit Alaska. The Three Day Private Denali Photo Workshop looks perfect. But I'm curious about the group size and if it’s really personalized. Also, how's the food? Any recommendations from past participants?
