Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for this tour? Can kids join?

A: There's no specific age limit for this tour, but kids are totally welcome! It could be a great educational experience for them. Just keep in mind that the tour involves a fair amount of walking, so I'd recommend checking if they can keep up. Parents usually have a great time too!

Q: Is the tour affected by weather? What if it rains?

A: Yes, the tour does go on rain or shine! If it's inclement weather, they usually provide ponchos. Just make sure to check the forecast and dress accordingly. A light waterproof jacket is a good idea too.

Q: How much free time do you actually get at the Smithsonian?

A: You get about 1 hour and 30 minutes of free time, which is plenty to see at least one or two exhibits. Just be aware that some museums can be pretty big, so plan out what you want to see ahead of time! It’s a great way to wrap up the day.

Just got back from the NYC to DC tour – here’s my experience!

I did the Tour from New York to Washington last week, and wow, it was awesome! The guide knew so much about each monument, and we even got to take our time at the Lincoln Memorial. The free time at the Smithsonian was a nice touch too! I recommend wearing comfy shoes since there’s a lot of walking involved.

Considering this tour as a gift – any tips?

I’m thinking about getting this NYC to DC tour as a gift for my parents. They love history and have never been to DC! Is there anything I should know before booking? Like, what’s the best time of year to do this?
