Experience the highlights of Astoria with our guided tour! Our guided transportation tour offers an overview of the town, providing insight into its rich history, famous landmarks, historic homes, and movie scenes. We'll also show you the best shops, restaurants, and upcoming events, and recommend eateries, museums, and additional tours to explore. Additionally, we provide pamphlets with in-depth details to satisfy your curiosity. The tour lasts approximately 3 hours, allowing you to thoroughly indulge your interests. Our pickup time is 9:30 AM, unless it's a cruise day. On cruise days, we pick up one hour after the ship docks. I will make sure to send a text the day before and when I'm on my way. Pickup times may vary and could be after 10 AM, depending on the number of places we need to pick up from, as Onward Adventures picks up from multiple locations.

Q&A

Q: What should we wear for the Astoria tour? Is it mostly walking or riding?

A: Good question! The tour is mostly in an air-conditioned vehicle, but there are some stops where you'll get out to walk around and explore. I'd recommend wearing comfortable shoes and checking the weather before you go—layers are a good idea since it can change quickly in Astoria. Also, don't forget your sunglasses if it's sunny!

Q: Can you reschedule if something comes up? How flexible is the provider?

A: Yes, you can reschedule the tour, but it's best to do it at least 48 hours in advance. The provider, Onward Adventures, is usually pretty accommodating, especially if you have a valid reason. Just reach out to them directly via text or call, and they'll let you know what options you have!

Q: Are there any age limits for this tour? Can kids join?

A: Kids are totally welcome on the tour! It's family-friendly, and the guides usually make it entertaining for all ages. Just keep in mind that since it's a 3-hour tour, some younger kids might get restless. Bring some snacks or activities to keep them engaged during the ride.

Thinking about gifting the Astoria tour—any tips?

I’m considering getting the guided Tour of Astoria for my parents. They love history and exploring new places! The tour sounds perfect since it covers landmarks and even gives restaurant recommendations. Any tips on what to expect? Also, is it easy to park if they're driving down?

Just did the Astoria tour—here’s my experience!

I just got back from the Tour of Astoria, and it was fantastic! The guide was super knowledgeable and friendly. We saw all the main spots like the Astoria Column and had a nice break at a local café. I totally recommend it to anyone even thinking about it! The history was rich, and I learned a lot about the movie spots too. Worth every penny!
