Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this tour? I want to bring my kids!

A: There’s no strict age limit for the tour! It’s family-friendly, so kids are definitely welcome. Just keep in mind that the trails at Fort Clatsop can be a bit uneven, so it’s good to supervise younger ones. Perfect for a family outing!

Q: What should I wear? Is it super casual or more fancy?

A: Casual is definitely the way to go! Comfortable walking shoes are a must because of the trails at Fort Clatsop. Dress in layers since it can be chilly by the falls, but you’ll warm up when you walk around. A rain jacket could be handy too!

Q: What if the weather is bad? Do they cancel the tour?

A: They usually check the weather and will notify you if they need to cancel. If the tour gets canceled, you can easily reschedule for another date. They want everyone to have a great experience, so safety comes first!

Just did the Fort Clatsop tour and it was amazing!

I took the tour last weekend and wow, was it worth it! Walking through Fort Clatsop felt like stepping back in time. The guide shared so many cool stories about Lewis & Clark. Then we drove to Youngs River Falls — absolutely stunning! The cider was such a nice touch while we soaked in the view. Highly recommend this for anyone looking for a chill day in Astoria!

Thinking of gifting the Fort Clatsop tour to my parents!

My parents love history and nature, so this tour seems perfect! I'm a bit nervous about if they’ll enjoy the walk or find it too strenuous. Has anyone done this with older family members? Are the trails manageable?
