Explore Oregon’s coast with Onward Adventures! This 3-hour guided tour takes you from Seaside to Cannon Beach, blending history, scenery, and local flavor. In Seaside, we stop at landmarks like the Lewis & Clark Salt Works, the Sailors’ Grave, and the Seaside Promenade and Broadway district, with views toward Tillamook Head and the distant, mysterious Tillamook Rock Lighthouse, “Terrible Tilly.” We’ll also point out the Seaside Museum so you know where to go if you’d like to visit inside on your own later. In Cannon Beach, highlights include Haystack Rock, Ecola State Park’s stunning viewpoints, and a walk through town where we’ll also pass the Cannon Beach History Center & Museum (great to return to when it’s open). Along the way, we’ll share fun activity ideas—craft shops, arcades & theatre, hiking trails, tidepooling spots—and fill the ride with stories, salt air, and scenic views. From salt pans to sea stacks—ride with Onward Adventures and see the coast like a local!

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this tour of Seaside and Cannon Beach?

A: There’s no strict age limit, but younger kids might not enjoy the full 3 hours as much. It’s great for kids who can walk a bit and are old enough to appreciate the sights, so maybe 5 and up? Just keep in mind there’s some walking involved, especially around Haystack Rock and Ecola State Park!

Q: What should I wear for the tour? Is it mostly walking?

A: Definitely wear comfy shoes! There’s a fair amount of walking, especially in Cannon Beach and Ecola State Park. Layers are key too— it can be chilly near the coast even in summer, so a light jacket is a good idea. You might want to bring a hat or sunglasses for the sun at Haystack Rock!

Q: How does parking work at Seaside for the tour?

A: Parking can be tricky in Seaside, especially during weekends. If you're driving, I suggest arriving a bit early to find a spot. The tour meets at a specific location, so just have a look at the details provided in your confirmation email. There might also be some street parking or nearby lots you could use!

Just got back from the Seaside and Cannon Beach tour - it was amazing!

I surprised my mom with this guided tour, and we had such a blast! The views at Haystack Rock were stunning. Our guide shared some fun stories about the history of Seaside, and we loved the stop at the Ecola State Park viewpoints! Definitely bring your camera! The air-conditioned vehicle was super comfy too, especially after all that walking. Highly recommend it!

Considering the Seaside and Cannon Beach tour as a gift!

I’m thinking about gifting this tour to my sister for her birthday. She loves coastal views and exploring new places. I just want to know if it really feels worth the money and if you think it’s suitable for her 14-year-old daughter? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
