Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids to go on the biplane ride?

A: There's no specific age limit, but they recommend kids be at least 5 years old to enjoy the ride safely. Just remember, the combined weight of both passengers can't exceed 400 lbs. It’s super fun for families, but make sure your kids are comfortable with flying!

Q: How do I reschedule if the weather turns bad?

A: If the weather's bad, you can call Scallywag Air, and they’re usually pretty flexible about rescheduling. Just make sure to give them a heads-up at least a day in advance if possible. They’ll work with you to find another time that fits your schedule!

Q: What should I wear for the biplane ride?

A: You should definitely wear something comfortable that you don’t mind getting a bit breezy in! Layers are a good idea since it can get cooler up there. Don’t forget to put on sunscreen, too! They provide retro caps and goggles, which are super fun and add to the experience.

Thinking of gifting the Galveston Biplane Ride—anyone done this?

I’m planning to surprise my partner with the Town of Galveston Tour in that awesome red biplane! The view from up there must be incredible, especially over the Pleasure Pier. Just curious about what to expect and if it's really worth it. Any tips would be appreciated!

Just did the biplane ride in Galveston—amazing experience!

I just got back from the biplane ride and it was EPIC! The pilot was super chill, and the view of the Gulf beaches was to die for. The retro goggles made it even cooler! I'd totally recommend it for anyone who loves a bit of adventure.
